The master-planned new home neighborhood of Rice Ranch features over 350 acres of preserved natural habitat, oak woodlands and natural meadows. Rice Ranch is located in Orcutt, the jewel of North Santa Barbara County. Our central location between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo offers wine country living and places us nearby gourmet cuisine, a variety of art galleries and museums, local theatre and performing arts, historic California Missions, and world-class shopping. We are close to some of the area’s finest wineries and within easy driving distance to the most gorgeous beaches California has to offer.

The Rice Ranch Master Plan includes over 580 acres of wooded hillsides, with roughly 350 acres of open space and natural habitat. Approximately 35 percent of the total acreage will be new home neighborhoods. Rice Ranch will include a total of five unique neighborhoods with 725 homes when the master plan is completed.

Community Park

Central to the Rice Ranch Master Plan is the new 26-acre community park and sports complex featuring beautifully landscaped championship soccer fields, youth and adult baseball fields, dog parks, playgrounds, a tot lot and picnic areas.

Rice Ranch also offers extensive walking, hiking and biking trails for adults and children. Four additional parks are scattered throughout the neighborhoods of Rice Ranch to provide residents with a place to play, or simply relax and enjoy the day.
